Dr. David E. Aghonebarin is a Lecturer in the Department of Adult Education, Faculty of Education, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Adult Education, an M.Ed. in Philosophy of Education, and a B.Ed. in Adult Education from the same institution.His research expertise lies in the philosophy of education, adult learning, critical pedagogy, and education for social consciousness. Through his publications, Dr. Aghonebarin has made notable contributions to debates on radical education (Paulo Freire), the philosophical underpinnings of John Dewey’s work, and the role of education in fostering critical thinking, sustainable development, and social justice. His scholarship also extends to contemporary issues in Nigerian education, including indigenous education, media literacy in continuing education, governance, gender-based violence, and the intersections of education with democracy and social change.
